I've been paid with cash for an item I sold on eBay, but I have a moral dilemma...?

Ok...here's the deal.

I sold a high dollar item on eBay ($1,500) to someone overseas. He paid me via WesterUnion, so I have the cash in hand, AND, he has already left me positive feedback.

Here;s where I become the bad guy right...? Well, I am very financially strapped, and could really use the money, and am thinking about selling it again, to someone in the USA for a little bit cheaper, because the overseas guy paid with cash, so he would not be able to get his money back or even leave negative feedback since he already left positive feedback...

But I am stuck between "Do I do the right thing and ship him his item", or "Do I double dip knowing there will be no financial repercussions so my family and I can have some more money for savings?"

P.S. - I have a 100% positive feedback score rating on ebay, with over 80 sales, and have NEVER done or even considered doing something like this before.

My family and I have never been this financially strapped before. IS this what they means when people at my church say "the Lord will provide"..? Is this an opportunity that God is giving me?

Also, if the buyer gets angry enough he can file charges against you for fraud and make you life miserable - which I would hope he would do.

Absolutely not! You are a criminal if you do this. You must ship the item to the overseas guy immediately. People like you give Ebay a bad name. Do the right thing.

No this is not an opportunity that God is giving you to make money. This is an opportunity that God is giving you to do the right thing. Send your item to the fella overseas. You know you should. God will provide for you have faith.

What a horrible thought! If someone paid you for the item you have to send it to them!!! I understand needing money... but this is theft... what if someone did this to you? How would you feel? I am embarased of this question for you!! Do whats right hun, ship him the package. Horrible.

Are you joking? First of all, you would be a thief and a criminal if you did that. Second of all, these days banks in all countries are connected, so it's not all that difficult for someone in another country to track you down.

I can't believe that there are people like you selling stuff on eBay. You should be ashamed of yourself for even asking this question.

I don't care how financially strapped you are, that is wrong morally and legally. You can't be too financially strapped if you are putting the money into savings. Believe me I will have yahoo, ebay and paypal track you down and prosecute. $1500 is a lot of money to anybody buddy, not just you. What a creep.

Don't feel bad by being tempted, we all are at some point. Be proud of yourself for not succumbing to the temptation. Besides aren't western union payments traceable? Not that it would make it ok if they weren't...Do the right thing, Karma is a mofo.

It isn't double dipping, you t**d, it is THEFT. And positive feedback does not mean you won't be asked for proof of shipment when the buyer you CHEATED makes a non-receipt report. If you want to STEAL so badly, why not just assault people on the street and take wallets, it is the same damn thing!

Just imagine if you went and paid for a car tomorrow, and when you went to drive it away, the dealer said he sold it to somebody else too, and the other person has it, tough noogies to you, but thanks for the lovely money.
