I accidentally hit someone's eye with a sugar cane, can i be sued?

ok so im a work as a cash register and im moving these sugar cane sticks (6-7 feet tall) around in a cart. i move them to the right and accidentlly hit this girl in the eye?(idk she saids so) i say sry but my mouth is kinda full of crackers but my body language and gestures so that i didnt mean it. then she goes and cusses me out and to my friend in the next register. im speechless and she walks behind me so i turn back around. she starts really b-i-t-c-hing and i hear it so i saw sry again. she tells my friend that she will sued me if i messed up her eye. i didn't c her because i was looking at the sugar canes and my glasses were half off of my face. shes like 25ish im 16 her face /eye didnt look red at all when i looked at her.
whats the chance i could get sued? and could i win if i fight back?

Dude dont worry about it sounds like some dumb annoy bi*ch being a bi*ch. know one would ever sue a 16 year old kid because on the large scale you have no money if anything they would sue the store you work at because they have more money then you but it sounds unlikely by your story. Sounds like some just out to cause trouble you personally have nothing to worry about it was a 100% accident.

I'm not thinking she will sue you and if she did she is a *****, but anyways you do have a chance fighting back, your actions weren't negligent, it was an accident the judge may side with you but depending on the damage you may still end up paying, I wouldn't worry though but next tie don't eat crackers

If she is not injured, she has no case, period. And you personally would not be sued, the store would. They carry insurance for this sort of thing, so no big deal, but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

They're not gonna sue you, you don't have any money. This is America - they're going to sue the store you work in.

You could be sued, but you won't. It's unlikely in the extreme any serious damage was done, and the cost of the suit would doubtless be more than she could possibly recover from you, so she'd sue the store.
