i hurt myself at work like3 years ago and i am taking legal action against them. tonight i had the most weirdest experience ever. my lawyer said that they would be following me around but is there a standard of whats too far. they followed me everywhere driving so i took them on a little cruise cos i saw them following me in the rear vision mirror but they never gave up has anyone had an experience like this and do they ever stop???

I did this kind of PI work once upon a time.
If they are good at what they do you would not be able to identify them. Plus the best place to catch someone is not while driving. They would already know where you work or live.
Go about your business and do not try to "take them on a little cruise" as that looks bad. No gardening, hauling in groceries, going out and dancing.... you get the idea. For the time being you just go about your business and be mindful. |

The police will not do anything because the investigator is doing nothing illegal. As long as the investigator's actions do not rise to the level of trespass, assault, threats, or the like, he has every right to follow you around in public.
Now that you know you are being watched, I suggest you refrain from horseback riding, water skiing, aerobics, and any other activity that suggests you are not seriously injured. |

If you're not doing anything wrong, why should you care? Companys hire investigators because they suspect that the employee is faking or exaggerating their injury. Do you want them to stop following you because you aren't really hurt and don't want to get caught doing something you shouldn't be able to due because of your "injury"? |

They have the same right to observe you in a public place that anyone else does. They do not, however, have the right to harass you, which is what it sounds like their conduct is approaching.
Tell your lawyer about it, and see what he or she recommends to get this to stop. |
