you need to put the money back. out of your own money obviously and then turn the wallet in to the police.
how would you like it if someone found your wallet and instead of turning it in, they stole all your money |

well, it wasn't your money, you should find an I.D. in the wallet and mail it to them, then give them the remainter of THEIR cash and pay back what you spent.
people work hard for their money, returning it was the first thing you should have done.
that could have been someone's rent, they could have lost their house or apartment or car because you decided to spend their money.
karma is a biatch! whatever you do comes back to you times 3. |

Well, I'm sure that's what you would have wanted someone to do if they found your wallet! |

You should'nt have done that. You could always return the things you bought then return the wallet to the fuzz. |

take it to the person it belong“s to , I found a purse with 300 euros, the lady had all her ID medical card,s documents, when we took it to her the look on her face , she thought she would see the purse again but never imagined to see the money , go take it to the person it belong“s to, you no what they say , what goes around come“s around |

You should turn it in to the police and return all the stuff you bought. |

You should've returned that wallet right away! You were wrong for spending that person's money. How do you think they felt having lost a wallet with that much money in it; probably Christmas shopping money, too?? Your conscience oughtta kick your azz!
It will come back on you... |

That money was not yours to spend! Sounds like you could have returned the money, but didn't, which makes me wonder: how good of a person are you? You take money that's not yours and lie to people about where you got it. What if it was some poor guy's paycheck he just cashed and that's all he has to feed his family for a while? Sounds like you really didn't need the money...you said you bought a lot of stuff in "sales." Wow, I hope I never lose my purse and have you find it! Shame on you!!!!! That's horrible. Return the wallet and the rest of the money. Tell him how horrible you were and make up the difference to him. |

You should of handed it in, it could be someones bill money, and what a ruined Christmas they are going to have now............
I lost my purse the 27th December one year and it had all my Christmas money in it, all my gift money but luckily someone handed it in............I would never keep someones wallet if i found it..........
I would suggest replacing what you have and take the goods back to the shops for a refund and hand it into the police.....
If you don't do it I hope the thought of kids having to go without throughout January gives you sleepless nights |

If this really happened ( which I doubt ) why bother to ask the question? Your guilty consience is telling you the answer! |

This is bad karma my friend. Just watch. Sometime soon in the future, you will lose at least twice that amount in some way.
If I were you, I'd do the honorable thing and give that poor person his or her money back. They're likely in a bad state due to losing so much cash over the holiday season. |

Do the right thing and try and contact the owner or if there is no I.D turn it over to the authorities after it is not claimed for a certain period it will be given back to the finder. It has happen to me and it makes you feel good that you have helped a fellow human being. |

Turn yourself into the authorities, because you have a criminal mentality. You committed a crime and now should be punished, like any one else who steals from others.
Don't do the crime if your not prepared to do the time.
And by the way you will need to give back all the money too.
Two thumbs down already? Ummmm I see you are not the only criminal here. |

If it was a wallet, it is bound to have information about the owner in it.
No one can help you with this decision. Spend it and live with yourself or replace the money you spent, find the rightful owner and walk away a better person. |

Ask yourself, how would you have wanted this issue handled if YOU lost your wallet and money? |

sorry but you should return the wallet as how would you feel if it was your wallet you lost and somebody was spending your money. you should be ashamed of yourself someone probably worked hard for that money. |

A conscience isn`t the only thing you`re guilty of.
That may have been some poor old biddy`s life savings ! |

Spend the rest of it so that it will stop reminding you that you didn't give it back. |

Stick with your story, and live with the guilt. If you still had all the money you should have handed it in to your local police stn, and if unclaimed you would have got it anyway. |

Sounds like a spoof question to me but if it isn't then you already know what is the right thing to do. Your conscience will never give you peace til the money is returned. And that is the right thing to do. Hand it in. |

If there was no owners I.D in it, is impossible to return. Why hand into police? they just divvy up all unclaimed lost property once a year. |

If you have already spent great part of the 800 Stp. there is nothing you can now do, except, accept the fact that you should have returned the wallet.
Do everything possible to return the documents.
I once fount a woman's purse on my club“s floor, of course inside of it was some money, keys, and important documents for the owner.
Being inside the purse the owner“s phone number I called her to give her the good news.
Considering it logical, she commented : "and when you found it, of course, already, there was not any money in it"
To her surprise I told her the money was there.
So finally we agreed she would pick her purse up at my house.
When she came, she had with her a big bottle of cologne for me, a friendly smile and the recognition that I am an honest person.
Although many years have passed since then, I still feel proud of what I did. |

UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO TO JAIL you have to give it back, but only if it has any form of identification in it. if not then its not against the law to spend it. if it has identifcation you have to give it to the police station...
OR GO TO JAIL!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA... |

you messed up in the first place. you should have turned it in...if you can make up for the money, do it! then turn it in...if they notice, just be honest and say what you've done. they won't mind that much, because you gave them their wallet which was still full of money. if you can't make up for it, give something worth value to the owner if found. maybe you'll be lucky and the owner won't be found and you'll get the money...anyways, was there an ID card in it? if so, was there a number with it? if so, give the owner a call...good luck and think wise |

Give it back, tell whoever owns it that the money in it was all you found, you'll feel better for it. |

No I.D. in the wallet? Finders, keepers. Why are you even telling people where it came from anyway? It's none of their business, & you shouldn't be so free with any information. |
