Hopefully he will straighten his life out and learn from his mistakes. He will have to accept the punishment for his actions until then, and that can vary depending upon the judge, the location of the court, and his ability to retain a good lawyer. |

No, nobody here knows what's going to happen to him because we don't know his true criminal record, or the jurisdiction where he's being dealt with, or the disposition of the people who'll be dealing with him. I do sincerely hope he's given some kind of drastic wake-up call before he kills somebody. |

Hopefully he gets locked up for a loooong time. He knows better than to do something this stupid! Why does a 17 year old kid need a gun? He is going down the wrong road and needs to spend a while in jail. If he don't staighten up he will move on up to prison. Look at him as an example of what NOT to do with your life. |

he will be in total lock down prison at 18 if he ran away from juvy or restricted a police officer and you shouldn't be his friend because he might get you caught in trouble |

I hope he gets locked away...he's an idiot.
1) for committing small-scale robbery
2) for carrying a firearm while doing so |

hes gonna get caught so tell him to stop running |

Hopefully they will put him in jail for a long time... I'm sorry but I can't see any reason to let a kid who robbed someone , ran from the police then got caught with a gun out on the streets... He's a threat to society. |

Hes going to the big boy jail. |

He could may be tried as an adult but that's very debatable.
In most cases, he'd remain in juvi undergoing the process over there to become "clean". |

He's probably gonna get house arrested.... |

depends- if he's 18 now, he's goin 2 jail because of that trick. i'm not sure how long, but probably under 3 months for running alone. and i wouldn't keep this guy as a friend if you ask me. |

I dont know where your from but here in cali he'll be goin to prison he has a record of priors it doesnt matter if he's off of probation it still stays on his record. his controlling case may be caught with a weapon with priors of burglary and avoiding an officer and resisting arrest. he'll def be doin some time tho. |

Depends on what he's charged with, and the jurisdiction.
In NYC, which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, he can get several charges from that one incident (possession without a license, purchase violations, ammo violations, etc.) and be tried as an adult. This is more likely, because of his prior juvenile record, too.
In jurisdictions with more lenient gun laws, he might have a better chance of remaining in the juvenile system. |

go to court with him to find out |

i wouldnt think prison he's still a juvenile (depending on your state laws) but it would really depend on the weapon. had it been used in crimes before, were the serials scratched off, has it ever killed anyone, and being that your friend has a past record the courts will slap him alot harder than if it was his first time.. best guess is contact a damn good lawyer and beg the mercy of the courts |
|

OGUN
|
I'm no lawyer but in the eyes of the court clearly here is a person who has not learned his lesson. It is already illegal in most states if not all states to be in possession of a handgun without being registered. Being that he was on probation and broke the law will probably land him in jail. There are too many violence crimes being committed on defenseless innocent young people these days in America. Again I'm not lawyer but I'm willing to wager my life savings that this guy gets some jail time and not in juvy either. |

Well I was about to say he will be fine but if he has a records I dont, just make sure he has a good lawyer and pray, he may not get in that much trouble since he was still underage when he did it. But dont worry about your friend...it wont be the end of his life you just need to convince him to stay out of trouble. |

he'll do it and get busted again... |

He will be tried as a minor, and will be sent to juvenile hall until his 18th birthday, at which time he may be transfered to a federal prison, depending on the length of his sentence. |
|

Tired of the Crap~!

depends on the state for how long but he will be thrown in jail. And no I don't agree with that at all.
The jail part that is. |
