Unless it was an unintentional foul, which I doubt it was, I'm sure you could sue him, and probably press criminal charges. Sometimes, if someone gets hurt while playing a full contact sport such as football and is hurt in a normal tackle, there is an assumption of risk, but this situation sounds quite different. Talk to a lawyer. If you have witnesses, medical bills, and time you had to take off work, make an account of all that, the lawyer will need to know that stuff.
Oh, and don't play with such a poor sport anymore. He sounds kind of nutty. |

go ask a lawyer, that is the only way to know. Plus they wont charge you unless they have a case and if its worth it. |

What he did was Battery, the definition of battery is the unwanted touching of another person, with injury or multiple injuries could be upgraded to Aggravated Battery.
As for suing?.. well anyone can sue anyone for anything, BUT... no attorney is going to take your case on a contingency basis... Best to just chock it up to playing B-Bal with an Azzhole... if he does this again, either smash his face in or expect this from this guy...you have a right to defend yourself...I myself have been known to really lose my temper and put people like him in the hospital, but hey, wouldn't it bea easier to just avoid this azzhole? |

First of all, file the police report as soon as you can and show them any physical marks to your temple / eye area, then consult an attorney. |

Yes, you can and should sue him for any medical bills your insurance did not cover and pain and suffering - make sure you have documentation - he should have to learn that this is no acceptable behavior - some of those judge show will take your case for free or go to small claims court for damages up to 5000.00 |

Hey there

If your playing a game or just walking down the street, it is still assault. Yes, you can sue this person for medical damages, but your case wont stick unless you have a police report. |

oh yes, especially with so many witnesses around. He needs to be held accountable, unless, you forgive him. |

Go back and kick his azz or start wearing a dress and change your name to Sally. Given the situation you can blind side him to start the azz kicking session.
If you do sue him, make sure your purse matches your shoes when you g to court. |

Yes if you have witnesses that will say it was excessive. Sports can get a bit rowdy. |
