I live and work in New Mexico, for United Health Care, I got fired form my job of 5 years due to call time they said I was spending to long with customers, all of my other stats were great. I was saving up my time off for the birth of my child in June as FMLA is unpaid. Now they tell me I have no option to appeal that just does not seem fair at 15.10 an hour were are talking about $1435.10 before taxes, and they said the time just vanishes it does not even get donated to my coworkers on FMLA.

You have to check the company policy manual but normally paid time off accrues and is payable when you leave the company; it is compensation already earned.
If the company has a policy limiting the amount of time you can accrue that's legit but it sounds like they didn't give you any of your accrued time.
Read the manual, then call your state Deparment of Labor and complain anyway. |
