A living will is not a legally binding document - just a statement about your wishes. The advantage, medically, is that if you are being kept alive only because of life support machines and whomever is responsible for making final decisions about you decides to 'let you go', the presiding doctor will be much more accepting seeing your living will agrees with your choices. |

gee thats a really tough one...hmmmm i guess you better have a good executor of your will with the authority to see that your final wishes are carried out.
if you are dead there is not much you can do about this but your power of attorney could be in effect in case you are unable to carry out the final disposition of your body.
i think i will be cremated. that way i would know that i would be buried alive. that would be weird... |

Living wills are crap. My grandmothers was not worth the paper it was wrote on. It won't matter any how, you'll be dead. |

Don't worry, kremation is one, if not, the cheapest way of funeral, therefore they will do it! |

You'll never know if they don't cremate you. Choose someone that truly is trustworthy and make sure (through an attorney) that your living will is the way you want it and make sure all your wishes are specifically addressed in writing. |

Why wouldn't they anyway? It's cheaper than a burial!!!
A living will tells what you want to happen if you can no longer make your own decisions...like a power of attorney (turn off breathing machienes, do not recussitate, etc...)
But if you are dead...it fits in this catergory.....they have the decision making power..... |

Please tell your family your wishes alot so they dont do the funeral thing I have let my family know I dont want to waste money on a funeral, just have a party at our house with all the money saved , funeral homes make too much money off of us and we need to make a change on that to a different thing , flowers are also a big waste of money when you can donate to a party or family |
