There is even software that they use in college that finds if someone plagiarizes, . Just do not do it again. Part of learning is to think with your own mind and not steal other works. I am sure there will be some punishment, but consider it a lesson learned and don't do it again. |

They call me ... Trixie.

What you did is called plagerism, and yes, you can be suspended for it. I'm not sure what you can do at this point besides apologize, swear it will never happen again, and rewrite your papers. Good luck ~ |

Do the right thing , come clean, offer to redo them. |

redo the project, and write a letter of apology...
humble yourself.. and she might cut you slack..
Never plagiarize!!!! |

Well if you plagiarized those two internet biographies then yeah you might find a suspension under your belt. |

so you got caught plagiarizing.
tell your teacher you will take whatever punishment she says is fair AND you will re-do the project properly - and don't expect to get any marks for it. |

take your punishment and learn your lesson. |

if you were in college, you could even be kicked out of the entire college for this, so be glad the concequences could be as "minor" as suspension. I would agree with the others, explain that you didn't realize that it was inappropriate, do your own research, rewrite the bios and hope for the best |

Sorry - no excuse for plagiarism.... you can get thrown out of university for that. No problem quoting a source, including the Internet, but you MUST MUST MUST give credit to your sources.
If you do not get suspended, consider yourself fortunate. Double sorry, but your teacher is very right nailing you. A lesson well learned. |

Plagiarism can be a serious issue although some schools take it more seriously than others. Many students have been caught in my school but nothing that serious has happened. You'd have to redo the project or many even get detention. I don't know if its reasonable to get suspended? They can expel you if this is at a university and then you don't get your money back but if this is at high/middle school I'd say just apologize and even write a letter to the principal, your teacher and even your parents to explain and say sorry for what you did. And that you'll never do it again right? Redo the project is probably a must. |

I wouldnt worry if they weren't plagerized (sp?). If they were, then worry, but not sure if suspension is in order, don't know your school's policy about that.
Hope it works out okay for you. Sorry to hear. |

what you did was wrong
own up to it and pay the price and don't do it again |

Giving credit to works cited is something which is very important (but is unfortunately not emphasized enough). You cannot use another person's work as your own.
Schools vary on disciplinary measures and rules. Don't freak out. Approach your teacher and inform her that you spoke to your parents about why you got a "0" and you understand that this was cheating, and you want to make up this work. |

Ask if you can redo it, and do your own work... Get off the computer every now and then, and you'll be surprised what you might learn... BTW, if I were your teacher, I would NOT change your grade, though I might offer you some extra credit if you managed to do a half way decent job. Hate to sound like an old fart, but you do only get one chance for an education... |

It's called plagiarism. And you probably will get into big trouble. But you seem honestly naive. Did your teacher ever explain to ya'll what plagiarism was a why it was a bad (and illegal) thing to do? If not, then you could honestly claim that although you knew it was something you weren't supposed to do that you did not understand the repercussions for it. |

I wouldn't be surprised if she did suspend you. The best I can think of is if you go to her and beg her to let you re-do it and maybe cry a little and apologize. That might help, depends on the teacher and how you've been with other assignments. |

I'm guessing you are in grade school. You may be facing suspension. You're lucky to learn this lesson the easy way. If you get into college and get caught you will be expelled and the stigma may follow you.
Stealing of ideas is still stealing. |

Looks like your goose is cooked. The easiest thing to do to find out if somebody took something from the internet is just to run a search on a few words or phrases. Try it some time. You'll never cheat that way again. |

If you were good in class all the time before you'll probably get after school detention or a warning but if you were bad and have some bad history you would probably get suspended. |

You may ask your teacher to make a special consideration on your case.
Ask him/her if you could make up by making your own project instead of having it by group.
Please give me a feedback when you try out this solution |

You should talk back internet is a resource of information!
Where you warned taht you couldn't get it from the internet, im guessing not!
Good luck |

If you took the info and transferred it word for word (called PLAGIARISM), you could be charged under a HONOR SYSTEM if your school has one. It used to happen PRE-INTERNET by taking things and copying them word for word out of encyclopedias/books. With book reports, some dummies would copy from the fly leaf and turn it in as their words, as if the teacher wouldn't notice. Usually, the culprit got a ZERO or F on his/her work. |

It's called plagarism! Of course, it wouldn't fly in college and you could be kicked out of class or college entirely. If you are in highschool let it be a lesson well learned for your future, because colleges KNOW when you do it! |

It doesn't matter where you got the material; if you didn't create it yourself you are in big trouble.
Offer to write new biographies and see if the teacher will let you off the hook. Do it legit and make them good. That will be the only way to save your cheating butts. However, you might be facing in-school suspensions. This kind of activity can not be allowed and the school admin will make examples of you. |

You most likely will be suspended. Cheating is frowned upon. I would think about telling your parents. |

Well, that was plaigerism, so according to most schools it deserves a suspension. |

oh dear, not good! It is plagiarism (copying someones work and taking the credit for it), and teachers have usually read them, although it does seem harsh to suspend you, because you wrote 3 yourselves, right?
I expect you will get a big telling off and maybe letters sent home, but if this is the first time, I would not expect you to be suspended - but if you did it at college you definitely would be kicked off the course, so DO NOT do it again |
|

I most certainly hope so. Do you know what you even did? Plagiarism is a really big deal once you get into the real world. Colleges don't put up with that. However, I doubt you'll ever attend anyway. |

I wouldn't worry about much more than a grounding maybe and a note or parent teacher conference with your parents. |
