Yes, I know its dumb I didn't pay the ticket, but it was 800 dollars and well I've been broke. If I go to my local courthouse can I just pay the ticket and have it done with, or will I get arrested? I know I sound like a dork but I'm really nervous about this whole thing...I just want to pay the ticket and correct the problem....Any help is appreciated

Go to the courthouse and put yourself on calendar. Go before the court and plead. Then ask for a payment schedule. Then ask to have the warrant recalled. You will be fine. |

Mail in the money. I'm a lawyer. I always tell my clients to avoid any contact with authority. Get a Cashier's Check for $800 and send it in. Most times they will rescind the warrant. You can't get a money order for that much. Good luck to you. |

They are doing that now in Vegas the constable is going to your home for the tickets and unless you pay right then they will take you to jail. |

I don't think you can just go to the court and pay it off. One of the reasons you'll owe more money than the initial ticket is because, since you never paid the ticket, you were automatically given a time slot at the courthouse, and now you'll have to pay those fees, which can be kind of pricey.
You may have to pay $1,000 or so now. While cops won't just appear at your door, the moment you're out driving, they'll be keeping an eye out on you anyway. If you're pulled over, then you're in trouble.
You should just show up to the police station (or call them, rather) and see if you can't pay it off on credit over time. |

speak to a lawyer, get a free consultant..if you are willing to make a full payment that should not be a problem, off course you'll have to defend yourself and 800 dollars is alot of money to just pay up front if you dont have it like that. but you'll need to get some advice, call a legal aid, after all you're willing to pay so you're on the right track.

The best advice I can give you is be honest with them.
Explain why you have not paid up, and that you wish to do so, and don't be afraid to say sorry.
We all make mistakes and errors, it's just part of been human. I'm sure they will understand, and you will feel a lot better for talking to them.
