I have no idea why anybody is worried about Sharia law in Britain?

Great Britain, and France, is full of effete men. They are afraid of muslims. It is only a matter of time until the muslims get control of the U.K. and France. Then sharia law will become the "law of the land".

The problem with most people is they don't understand that peace has nothing to do with them. It doesn't matter how reasonable and kind YOU are. What matters is how reasonable and kind your ENEMIES are. The muslims, and I do mean muslims (not islamofascists or radical muslims), have a strong faith in their religion. They see the decadence of our free societies and they believe that allah's law will fix everything. The fact that every muslim nation is a pisshole is irrelevant, they can make our society better.

That's the reason so many people are concerned. There are no men left to throw down the muslim tide in your countries and the muslims are intent on global conversion.

Oh dear - I find this all very worrying. If people want to live by Sharia Law, why can't they live in a country where it is practiced? I can't say any more on the matter, I think I'll start screaming....

No, this is not good.

It is a society that insists their laws are above the laws of the land they live in. Did you read the part about how Sharia law is not fair to women and the disadvantaged? It has been proven time and tiem again that it is not. Why on earth would it be better?

People living in the UK must accept the authority of our laws. It is clear that many foreigners arriving here are slow to accept this and any introduction of an alternative legal system would promote the general impression that some people do not have to accept the laws by which we are governed. Certain principles of Sharia law are at variance with our own legal system and therefore it is hard to see how English courts could validate decisions reached by a Sharia court, particularly in relation to women's rights and expectations within, and in relation to the dissolution of, marriage and the right of custody to children. If you go to a country such as Malaysia, which accepts such a system within the general common law system, you will observe that there are some laws which apply to Muslims only and which are enforced by a type of Muslim police authority. Would this situation be acceptable to us in our democratic system and, more significantly, would it be acceptable to our Euorpean partners? One wonders whether the advocates of Sharia law within the UK are fully aware of the implications.

This is a christian country,and always will be.
If people want to live under sharia law go to a country who adopt it.

Britain has led the world in coming out of the middle ages and you want us to return to the dark ages.

There are other countries where people who wish to live under Sharia law can. Many where they can seem to be leaving them for a better life under our laws.

This is England and we have are own laws If they don't like are Laws and ways. They are free to leave. We have to abide by there laws in other countries. Do you think they are going to change there laws to suit us. Sharia law is barbaric.

everybody's worried because a christian country will be infiltrated by moros who will purge the infidel christians like you and me in order for them to go to heaven. establishing a shari'a law justifies their acts as legal and they may get out of the law because they may consider their acts as legal.
they call you brother but to them you are still an infidel and infidels must die.

Why should a minority that live in this country have the right to operate their own laws? Everybody has to obey the law of the land, our land, even the Queen, why do those that want to bring their own laws into the country think they're so special? Just because they happen to believe in the invisible man (god) does not put them above our laws.

Muslims , as we all know have more rights than any other religion in this country--as they should do - because the US and UK government persecute other Muslims they do not know(but class as brothers)
Sharia law is already in use , has been for years.
Muslims do as they choose , because if any official stops them they claim racism--or threaten to blow themselves up.

Sharia law is worrying to some people as it is not a religion but it is taking over Islam which is worrying for the culture itself.
