I think it should be legal.
Alcohol and nicotine are killers and marijuana causes a lot lot lot lot less problems than these do.
To say that everyone who smokes cannibis goes onto other drugs is silly, a lot of my friends smoke it and none of them smoke anything else.
I would rather be with a stoned person than a drunk person-stoned people are never as violent or aggressive as drunk people.
The reason I think it should be legalized is because of its medicinal purposes, it is a great stress reliever, and it is also a great pain reliever.
It is especially helpful for cancer victims.
I do not believe in a million years it will ever be worse than ciggarettes or alcohol.
also, legal drugs are safer drugs. the people you see dying in the news are people who have bought bad drugs. if it was legal at least it could be government monitered and no one would get any bad stuff because that is very dangerous. |

yes, because less people would be harmed and the price would go down if it was legal, also, the standards of marijuana as a product would be much higher if it was sold in stores (it wouldn't be as likely that it would be laced with other harmful drugs or poisons)...I personally think that the laws with marijuana use should be the same as with alcohol, that you shouldn't be allowed to use it before driving just like you can't drink and drive. Marijuana has helped many people with physical problems and has less side effects than most prescription pain relievers. |

Medicinally, absolutly. THe only reason its illegal medicinally is because pharmacuticals make more money with marinol, a synthetic thc avail by rx nation wide and often insurance paid. Costs about 1000+ per month at the lowest dosage - roghly equivalent to about what would cost 200 in my area on the street. Also, they make more money in giving more addictive meds that do the same thing like morphine, oxy, ativan, xanax, steroids, ect. The patient gets attached and comes back for more.
Recreationally, it would be nice, but there are too many idiots who dont use responsibly. I hate hearing people say how well they can drive high. Just because it doesnt impare you the same way as alcohol doesnt mean your not impaired. Designated Drivers!!!! I also cant stand when people who are in charge of kids use. I mean like literally when the kids are being watched by the person that has used. I feel that there should always be atleast one sober person with the kids. |

Only for medical use. We don't need another way for people to get high legally. Enough people now die from DWI's. |

although i agree with wizjp answer i believe it should be legal. a a matter of fact all drugs should be legal, that will bring crime down and besides let the government control the sales cause they r obviously not controlling the drug dealers at least we are used to the government scruing us whats one more thing |

although i dont have anything against marijuanna, and i know a lot of older people who use it responsibly (i.e stay home, no kids, ) i dont think marijuanna should be legalized . i may have been for it when i was younger, but the day my little bro came to my house because his headlights "wouldnt stay on, he had to hold them on" when he was just holding it to keep his high beems on, instead of turning on his lights to begin with, was the day i changed my mind. we dont need anymore irresponsible drivers . |

NO I do not think it should be legalized for daily use. As far as medically, yes. I know people who are in so much pain that they'd rather die than live like that, and even though I dont approve, they smoke marijuana and it is the only thing that gives them relief. We already have ignorant teens running around getting drunk when its not legal, think what would happen to them if MARIJUANA was LEGAL... Oh dear lord. |
