I got a speeding ticket in Yuma AZ, and would rather pay for a lawyer to fight it off then to pay the ticket fine and my raised insurance cost. This is granted of course, that the lawyer fees are considerably less.

Depends on how much the ticket is for.
While you are probably pissed off at getting a ticket, you must realize that lawyers are expensive to hire in any shape or form. Even bad ones.
Unless you are facing some serious $1000 fine or something along those lines, you are better off paying the ticket. Also, a lawyer would probably only be able to plead and you wouldn't have as many points on your license and would pay a reduced fine. |

hmm, at $200 an hour for every minute you speak with the attorney and $500 - $1000 an hour for court, you are better paying the fine. or you show up and ask the judge to at least please reduce the fine.
