The first thing you have to do is petition the court. Once you go to court and they approve the name change, you will have to change your name on everything(social security card, drivers license, birth certificate, bank accounts etc..) By the way there is a fee to the court my brother just did this and it cost him $100.00! Good luck to you:) |

You'll have to do it in court. And bring the name change paperword with you when you need to show your birth certificate for anything. |
