LOL I think that is the funniest thing I have ever heard. A girlfriend of mine has to pay child support to her ex-husband (they have 3 kids). He is extremely well off and she lives on a clerical salary. Basically, he doesn't need the money, he just makes her pay it because he can. I am going to suggest that she do the same thing!! |

Its legal tender. The judge will probably tell you to stop though. |

Sounds like you've got an axe to grind, she must have caused you some amount of pain ( let it go and put it down to experience ), but seriously I wouldn't worry if I were you since you are paying regardless if it's in paper money or coins, any judge with a sense of humor will see the funny side of your actions, however, you will probably be ordered to stop since it is petty. Good Luck!
way to go momatad,,,,, LMAO |

No. Unless ordered to stop by the judge, keep doing it. It must be driving her crazy!!!! |

You will need to at least identify your state. Each state has a definition of how much coin can be considered legal tender. I recall some time ago when someone tried to pay the IRS in coin but don't remember the amount. He lost in court. |

You need to grow a set, man up and take care of your child like and adult, not a petulent child having tantrum.
How childish can you get - that's pathetic. So glad your child has such a pitiful excuse for a father to look up to. |
|

Whoops, is this your spleeen?

please...for the betterment of society, don't have any more children. |

Come on! Why are you playing games? Don't you have better things to do with your time? Looks as though you are carrying a chip on your shoulders. Get over it. And $250 is nothing to pay per month. Stop it already! |

I don't know if it's illegal, but it sure is childish and rude. |

I understand why some people are saying this is childish.. it is, but at the same time funny. We dont know what the woman could have possibly put you through in your history with her. It's very petty of you to do this, but also very petty for her to complain to the judge about it! I don't think the judge will punish you for it, probably be more upset that the mother of your child actually brought you back to court over it! |

the disrespect you have for your kid is a reflection of the disrespect you have for your own self.
it is unfortunate that you treat your own blood that way. did your mom abuse you or something or did no one ever teach you how to respect yourself? |

Are you serious? What type of work do you do that you have to give it in coins? It'll still spend. I hope you arent doing this just to be an as@hole to her. Why not take it to the bank and get it in a cashiers check or money order. Since you are giving it to her directly its better to have a record and receipts. Why is your case not through the local Atty Gen's office. If it were then she would get it direct deposited or in the form of a check. Hope this helps. |

I don't see anything wrong with it. It might be a little inconvenient for her, but at least you're paying, right? That's kind of funny. I wouldn't have thought about that, but it might be a good idea. |

You're not doing anything illegal, but a judge will probably tell you to GROW UP. Your child is your responsibility no matter how you feel about your ex. The two of you need to work together to raise your child together. You have to think about what kind of example you want to set for your child.
GROW UP!!!!!!!! YOu made a child, now man up and do the right thing. |

Nice to see that you are "concerned" about the welfare of your child. You are paying a minimal amount toward the care of YOUR child,do you think it is OK to behave in the childish manner you are exhibiting?
If you do,get snipped before you further contaminate the gene pool. |

Depends on the judge, and his view on the case. If it is not delineated on the support order how it is to be paid, you can expound on that, but as long as it is legal tender, it should be acceptable. Sometimes you will get a judge who does have a sense of humor, and if the case had dragged on, and the mother is hostile to the father seeing/being with the child, he could very easily rule that it is okay to do so. Here's a hint, throw her off one month and pay in large coin (50 cent or dollar coins) or in dollar bills (with a receipt kept, of course). She can't complain that she isn't getting the support nor can she complain you 'always' give it to her in pennies and nickels. |

just spiteful, it's over just pay like a man not a little boy!!(a judge may penalize you for doing this) |

Yeah, you are,,,, man-up and pay for YOUR kid, so the taxpayers don't have too. It is your responsibility and playing coin games is not going to help anyone. You had no problem making your kid, so now live up to your commitment. What if you got your unemployment check in pennys? |

What you are doing may not be illegal but you are being a nuisance to the mother of your child.
If you aren't mature enough to take care of your own child, properly and with respect you should get yourself neutered. |

It is not illegal, but you are being immature.
What is wrong with you that you cannot go to the bank and get normal bills? Or you don't have a check that you could write out?
This woman is the mother of your child - why are you makng this more difficult for her? She is trying to raise YOUR child and you are making her count and go through all this change? That is ridiculous.
Despite what her behavior to you may have been in the past or even now, keep in mind, this is for your CHILD. Don't let what you think of the mother keep you from being a decent and good, supportive father to your child.
Start acting like an adult and start being a more responsible and worthwhile human being. |

Look how much time and effort has gone into replying this man, for something he knows is a nuisance? For all we know this may just be a fictitious tale just to get people aggravated. Do as you please. |

The question is: why do you do this? Why aggrevate the mother of your children? Why make her life miserable, when she has to stay at her best to raise your child? Makes no sense. |

Well, you are paying in legal tender.
But you are also being an a** and it would NOT look good if your wife were to take you back to court to remove or limit your visitation, as you child is probably more mature than you. |
