is this true? I even read that in the U.K. binge drinking is considered to be 11 drinks a day and according to this site I also read that in France there are a lot of people who have a 750 ml bottle a night every night and live full healthy lives. It also says If you have had a heavy drinking session, don't drink for 48 hours afterwards. P.S. my mother and my grandfather have been drinking over the recommended suggestions their whole lives and have no serious problems. My grandfather was a vodka fan in the past and drank a 5th of Vodka in one day on some occassional weekends and always kept Vodka in the fridge and my mother buys a 1.5 liter of wine every weekend. My grandfather never has any days off from drinking he usually brings in a pint of beer to work daily and on weekends he has about 6-10 beers a day each weekend. He never had any liver problems and has been drinking like this most of his life and my mother had kidney problems in the past but they were treated and she still drinks no matter what she has had kidney problems starting from when she was pregnant with me.

her kidney problems were inherited but had nothing to do with drinking. P.S. if you have to ask why this is in Politics please don't Y/A answers suggested it to be in this section for some reason.

You really don't have a clue do you.
In the UK binge drinking is considered to be 5 or 6 UNITS of alcohol in one session - and 1 pint of beer is around 2.5 units
In France it is NOT considered acceptable to drink a bottle of wine a night, and they live longer because of their diet, not alcohol.
ALSO - Different countries have different drinking LAWS, all seem to agree on the accepted SAFE DRINKING LIMITS. Drink sizes may vary country to country, but an alcohol unit doesn't and almost all agree on 14 for women & 21 for men EACH WEEK - not the 10 - 12 you drink each time you open a bottle that you claim to finish in 30 minutes.
You can not accept the truth, that several people have told you, that you have a drink problem and can not control it.
As for it being here, and not in BW&S - Yahoo didn't do that, you did to try to hide from Ron.
If you have that much of a problem with him telling you the truth then block him. |

i don,t know where you read about binge drinking in the u.k. but it was wrong u.k. levels are about the same as yours.
as for different countries having different amounts these countries have probably nothing to do with the world health organisation.
as for your mother and grand-father health i don,t think that they have set you a very good example.

??? You do understand that Yahoo 'suggests' categories, but you can (and should) override those suggestions? It's a pretty basic dialogue screen.
Now, what is your question? Your grandparents are alcoholics by ANY definition. That they have had no medical issues YET is not evidence of anything other than good luck. But what is the question? |
