I sent $5000 through western union to a guy and now he won't give me my merchandise. What do I do?

He wanted to have me send $5000 to him then he would release the car to me and the title. Now I am without the money and don't know what to do. How can I hold him accountable? Or is he accountable and can he get into trouble if all this was recorded on email?

Go to the police and tell them your story. If you have the email conversation bring those too. I don't know if he is accountable but he should be. I am sorry you have this situation. |

You did what????
That was a bad move, but assuming the guy used his real name (very very unlikely) then you just can use the Western Union records to track the money and report the crime, in this case fraud.
Get a copy of your Western Union receipt and go to the police and press charges for fraud. But be realistic that probably you will never get your money back. |
