I signed a contact for gym (Fitness First) and got tricked?

I bought a 12 month contact with a gym (Fitness First)
I bought a student membership.
I was told I could go between when it opened untill 5pm.
I'm quite certain I signed my contact saying 5pm (it was hand written).
But when I tried going in at 4:30 they said that I can only go in before 4.
They tricked me!!
What can I do? I'm going to talk to them again next time I go... but any words of advice?

First, they should have a copy of the contract you signed, so ask to see it. If their copy says 4 PM, your out of luck without having your own copy, except...
Depending on your state, its possible that being under 18 you can't be legally held to the contract. The rules vary according to what an under 18 year old can sign for and what their parents may be responsible for. |

if the contract said that was the time you could go, then they should have let you workout there. try to explain to them your situation , but if all else fails, threaten to take this to the police. if that doesn't work and your serious about this, you may need to get a lawyer. |

Show them a copy of the contract the next time you go. That shouldn't be too hard. If you haven't kept your copy, you deserve all the nonsense they can dish out. |
