I ordered a "FREE TRIAL" of ONE product and I then received 4 confirmations for 4 different products by e-mail from within 3 minutes of each other. How can this happen? IS it all a SCAM? If so, never order anything from Easywhite-a tooth whitener, or Dermatage-a moisturizer, or for something called RezV2000-which is some kind of PILL! I never ordered ALL these different products. But somehow they ALL got my credit card info, email address, & a shipping address. I'm at a loss as to what to do. My credit card company called next morn about these so-called purchases. They cancelled my card and will re-issue me a new one with a different number and not bill me for the purchases I did not make. But these companies just sign you up for a monthly purchases billed directly to credit card unless you pay to return unused portion of product (within their time-frame of about 10-15 days after it was shipped) PLUS a restocking fee. After they charge for shipping it to you! Has anyone got any serious advice as to what I should do about this problem? I think the websites for these products are all in someway connected and possibly sharing information? Please only serious replies. Thank You

I did not click on the wrong amount of a product as it was 4 seperate companies. I have sent e-mails as well as spent hours on the phone since this occurred. Only one company admitted that it may have been fraudulent that all of my information had been sent to their site, which is why I don't mention that company. Attorney General's Office may help? I've considered BBB... Has this happened to anyone else?! Will it?! I have my credit card checking into fraud. But these companies all reply with, "Well, we didn't place the order." And one stated he had my computer # as well as all my other info. This was the problem. I made ONE order, but they all say I ordered from THEM.

If you believe that it was a scam you can report it to the BBB and they will investigate the company, the BBB may call you, email you, or send you a letter in the mail. It's good that your credit cards have been canceled, what you should do is delete those email messages and put them in your spam folder do not open them, as they may contain a virus. There is also something on the Internet called McAfee SiteAdvisor, once installed it will show a little bar under the menu toolbar in Internet Explorer or Firefox. SiteAdvisor will give you ratings on websites and will block bad sites, green means the site is clean, yellow means some of the site is dangerous, red means the site is a virus infested site or harmful to your computer. You can contact the BBB here http://www.bbb.org and you can download McAfee SiteAdvisor here http://www.siteadvisor.com it's free and installs in seconds! First make double sure that it was not you, or anyone you know using your card, like a bf? or husband? A son or daughter or parent or gurdian, using it with or without permission.
Next contact your banks fraud department immediately after. |
