Practice telling lies in front of a mirror. Then tell lies to people to see if you get caught. Keep it up until you can lie without detection. |

Why when you are older? If you want to become a lawyer then make sure you gain excellent qualifications in school and then work hard at University to gain a good degree. Then after many years of hard work and dligence you may have a chance of attaining your ambition. Nothing comes without hardwork. |

Hello Sammy,
As you can see most of the answers here don't think much of lawyers. Unfortunately, the profession is a necessary evil. But that doesn't mean that the people who take up that profession need to be evil or even liars as most seem to indicate you need to be.
I know may lawyers who are actually honorable individuals and do not lie. What is necessary to a lawyer is the absolute understanding of semantics. The ability to word something so as to not lie and tell the truth so that something that would seem condemning is an enhancement to an argument and still the truth and will be understood as THE truth.
Public speaking, philosophy, English grammar and structure are all necessary parts of being a lawyer. In high school those are areas I would concentrate in my studies. Then of course legal history, constitutional understanding, debate as well.
The best way to get the best guideance would be to go to one of the law schools and talk to a carear guideance councilor and find out what they would recommend.
Oh and the most important thing to remember, you will need to be able to develope a tough outer skin to shin on all the lawyer jokes. Ever heard about the thousand head sitting on the beach? One guy said to another when looking at all those heads "Looks good doesn't it?" the other said "Who are they?" The first guy says "OH!! They are all lawyers?" After some thought the second guy said "NOT ENOUGH SAND!!"
Have fun. |

Work really hard.
Also, get lots of interests beside just academic subjects. |
|

I'm totally useless.
 |
Study hard. Ask any lawyers you know for advice, or if you can help out at a law firm somewhere.
Get into law school, study your bum off, and pass your boards.
You can do it! |

yea same with me...you gotta be charismatic and you gotta always win ur arguments you gotta think differently aswell.l its those little things that get you far. after highschool dont go straight to law school go to grad school then law school. if you plan on going to community the law classes arent really good so id shoot for a university. again personally for me i love to watch law and order and its interesting figuring out how much little things can deeply effect a case. and most top lawyers nearly got perfect scores on there s.a.t's so work hard |
