I got pulled over one time and asked the officer if he saw all the other people? He then asked me if I ever went fishing? I said sure all the time. He then asked if I ever caught all of them? I signed the ticket and went on......

I've seen someone contest it before here in Dallas Tx. Was a similar incident, apparently if its his word against yours you lose. Doesnt seem very fair does it? They aim it just like a gun, I dont know why they think error is impossible when there are that many cars on the road.

Personally, I would say to make sure your speedometer is reading correctly. I f it is, and you are certain you are in the right, fight the ticket! Go to court! I hear that the Officer often won't even show up for the hearing, and I think that he especially won't if he thinks he might be in the wrong. It might be worth your chances! You won't be out much, if anything, and it will give you the opportunity to make sure justice is known! Good luck!

fight it in court and tell the judge this story. maybe if you have a good record he'll drop the points and just give you a fine.

this is a very common ploy. you were the sickly calf at the end of the herd, and the wolf picked you off because you were easy.

FIGHT IT, its well worth it now that most states tack on an extra 75 bucks for processing fees. you can Google "fight a speeding ticket" and there will be pages that will tell you what to do.

my brother had the same problem, he was doing 5 over, and the pigs stopped him, meanwhile there were cars in the other two lanes passing at least 10 mph faster.

speeding tickets are the easiest to fight, because radar is not infaliable.

Take that to court, sounds like a good story. With all the other traffic going faster, that sounds like a case. Just be aware, that cops will lie like hell about stuff like that. Probably needed to fill his quota.

Take it to court and ask for a jury trial. Then, when you get to court, cry. The ONLY traffic court case I lost out of nine years was because the little college girl cried to the jury.

Go get your car checked to make sure your spedomoeter is right. If you alter certain things on your car, then your spedomoeter is off, and the cops love to get you for that. Get your car checked out, and then fight the ticket in court. If your spedomoeter IS incorrect, then try to play on the judges sympathy, and say that you had NO idea, and after getting the ticket you got it checked, and it's been corrected. You can also still get traffic school even if you fight in court and loose. Most of the time the cops don't show up, and you get it written off. Good luck!!!

If you ever believe that you were cited wrong, then ask the officer to see the radar gun to prove that he clocked you going that speed. Fight it in court always. Never admit guilt. When in court ask when the officer was certifed for the radar gun and when the last time that the radar gun was calibrated. You do have the right to do this. If your lucky, when you do go to court, the officer may not show up and the ticket will be dismissed. But fight it, because they will mostly always reduce the ticket or may dismiss do to flaws with the radar gun or inaccuracy with the officers performance. Hope this helps and good luck!

Contest it, make a pain of yourself. It sounds like his radar locked on some other vehicle. A decent lawyer could get you off. There are numerous books out that gives some ideas on how to beat the rap. Example:

All you can do is take it to court man. Prove yourself innocent. But you won't have any proof, the officer will have his notes.

if you speeddomiter is off then you may have been going78 and not realizing it. i had the same problem mine was 8 miles off and i got a ticket.

take it to court, but like what was said before me, so much of it depends on on what your driving record is, if you have a very clean record, explain what happened and tell him you are sure the Police officer must have made a mistake with the different cars around you, Police Officers can make mistakes like everybody else, but what ever you do, be sure and pay due respect, Even traffic cops have a tough job. But again, like mentioned above, most likely, they will take the points away and fine you just as much, but you end up saving so much MORE money not having the points on your record with your insurance.

Yep, you were the lucky one !
Not much you can do there unless there were road cams on overpasses or something. Usually there's not much you can do, several breaking the law, you got caught, simple but dreadfully true.
