Technically if you touch someone without their permission it can be considered assault if they want to make a complaint. If a light touch was all it was the investigating officer would try to resolve it with filing a complaint but if that person pushes it he would have to file it. |

It depends on the situation....if there was already a physical confrontation...or the other person felt threatened before you touched them..then yes....it is. |

No BUT you have to be very careful when touching people, even if it's just to say no hard feelings. Personally, I don't like being touched but I wouldn't call that assault by any stretch of the imagination. |
