I got a ticket for speeding, doing 40 in a 20 zone. long story short, i didn't and i know for a fact i didn't. i passed the sign clearly stating the new speed limit and sped up, after traveling about 30 feet i came into view of a police officer, who pulled me over accusing me of speeding.
i have taken pictures to show how it would be impossible for me to speed up so quickly in the short distance from the stop sign to the new speed limit sign.
anyways i'm worried if i contest the ticket but loose it will go on my record, i was wondering if it were possible to request the ticket be deferred (first ticket ever)?

You can ask the Judge on your court date, but that doesn't mean he has to agree. You'd be better off contesting the case and presenting your evidence. |

I have to disagree with the first answer. It would be better for you to pay the deferment. If the judge finds you guilty, you could pay much more than the deferment amount AND it will go on your record.
Plus, it doesn't take much for an officer to win a speeding ticket trial. |
