If I disagree w/ the govt, then why do some say to leave USA. Dont I have a right to express my opinion?

nobody says you got to leave... what they are simply stating is, if you are leaning towards a socialistic society where the government provides everything for you and you don't need to think for yourself... then you may be happier in an environment that will provide you with that. Therefore move to where you will be the happiest.

Because we don't really have free speech. The whole "love it or leave it" bit. We should all be voicing our opinions. Especially right now.

Just because we disagree with some parts of government, doesn't mean we are not proud Americans.

Exactly. I do not agree with a lot of the politics and quite frankly think that politics should not be associated with government. When I was studying government in school they did not have some of the problems that politics have created. No you do not have to leave and I don;t either. We do not have to agree with anything as that is our right and freedom. When they tell us how to think and what to believe the next step will be up to us.. We can change it, accept it, or live with it, or leave. I ain't leavin', livin' with it might be taxing (no pun intended), so that leaves change it or accept it. That is more like democracy!

Just reply: But I love America I want to change it for the best lets keep discussing this it fascinates me...and they will not say that again to you, because they have not got the brain power to discuss. You have the freedom of speech, until you say something (or are alleged to have) that offends someone else. Then you will lose your job, be banished from the entertainment industry (if that is your vocation), or, if you upset a conservative, be told to find a better country if you think there is one. The fact is, THERE ISN'T, at least not yet. That's the challenge, but it would require forming a nation with term limits, and where those who seek office the most, are the last who can obtain it, such a place has always been dreamed of, they call it "utopia".

However, if you truly are dissatisfied in the USA, I'll buy you a one way plane ticket to any country or third world toilet that would have you.

It always fascinates me to hear expatriate foreigners in America ragging against our country, and wonder what forced them to leave their home country paradise.

The bottom line, no matter how little you think of America, it is way ahead of whatever is in second place.

You should travel overseas and see what real poverty is, and you would immediately know why someone would gladly risk their life to come to america for a chance, literally, just to eat.

Our current president was lawfully elected by a majority of voting americans. That is our system.

Bush may go down in history as one of America'a greatest presidents, just by holding the country together despite the best efforts of politicians who would gladly destroy the country to gain power.
