Find answers to your legal question.

If I move to your country, I'm expected to abide by your rules andlaws, right?

So, when people immigrate to Canada, why do they expect Canadians to change our laws and rules to theirs, then say I'm a bigot when I don't

I'm not talking abouyt mexicans, most of whom had ancestors in the US anyway, i'm talking about people from asia, and africa, and the middleeast.

Many people think the world revolves around them. If they didn't know the laws prior to moving, they probably don't care now and it is easier to blame the other people from there then to move or read up prior to moving.

And if they weren't happy in another Country, why would they be happy now? Some people do take things under consideration, but as a new person to a country you should NOT expect to be exmpt from the laws. No where is perfect, and maybe they are just upset that they had a picture in their heads that wasn't matched either.

Without law and order man has no freedom.

Be the bigger person and ignore them.

Good Luck!!!

Sounds like some OUR illegal aliens have moved north and are now YOUR illegal aliens!
Have they demanded you speak Spanish yet?

Just_Call_Me_Shady
i agree, if you move to any country, you have to stick to their law, not be a rebel and disagree with it and try to change it.

Its only fair that everyone is under the same law.

can you give an example please, because I've never heard of such a thing.

But I will say this, why don't immigrants have to pay federal and state taxes on wages as us citizens do in the US?

Our Government allows it. We even have a Chinese motor vehicle branch in Richmond. This way Chinese people that can not read, speak or write english or french can get a drivers license.

Our money and vote hungry politicians sell us out just to get their slimy hands on the immigrants money and votes.

I SHOPLIFT THE POOTY!!!!!!!
Same thing happens when illegals come to my country. Welcome to my nightmare!

If I were to move to another country, ANY other country, I would expect to have to abide by the laws of that country. I certainly wouldn't expect them to change their laws just because I don't like them.

Bettee62
THE U.S. IS DEALING WITH THAT ISSUE ALSO.

Because lately a lot of people think that everyone must conform to their standards and countries have to make changes to accommodate those who come in. I agree with you if you come into my country then abide by our rules and laws and don't try to change this country to yours. Apparently you did not like something or agree with something that was going on in your country and you left and chose this country so abide by our rules.

I know what you mean. We have the same problem in the US.

2boys2dogs2birds
No no no. Here in the United States, only people who were born here and live here legally as citizens have to follow the rules and laws, pay taxes, that sort of stuff.

If you are here illegally or just visiting for a decade or so, you can break all the laws you want, talk in any language you choose, and even get medical benefits rather than the citizens. It's a great country!

Because, IN FACT, THEY ARE the bigots, and should stay where the hell they are if they're thinking Canada, or any other decent place, is going to throw out the red carpet for thier assess, while all the time they are flipping you guys, OR us, the bird! That doesn't make you a bigot; but I can see how someone could become one real fast!

of course u need to abide by our rules when u come here. if u can't then don't come at all. beside's y r u bitc*ing, were a free country anyway, if u don't break the law then there r not to many rules to live by. grow up and quit acting like ur 2 years old and pouting about rules. GO U.S.A.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh yeah, if ur not a legal citizen or actually went through the process of becoming one, DON'T COME HERE. we have enough illegal people here we're trying to get rid of because of them taking our benifits and jobs. get a job and benifits in ur own country. but if ur legal, then come on over, just quit ur damn whining.

Are you talking about Americans moving to Canada and then expecting to be treated with American law?

The US is notorious for assuming that its law trumps everyone else's. This is one reason why it refuses to get involved with the world court.

Its ludicrous. However, there are many many Americans sitting in jails out there for violations of non American laws. Assuming they actually did those things, I guess my attitude is that it is a risk of travel.
