I quit my job because the employer created a hostile work environment by not getting rid of a person that was being violent towards me so can I still get my unemployment?

You can still receive unemployment, but you have to be able to prove that you were forced to quit because you were endangered or harassed.
If you just quit because you didn't want to work there anymore, then no, no unemployment for you.

Unemployment is not for people who quit their job.
You need to talk to HR about your hostile work environment. If they ignore you, then talk to a lawyer and file a lawsuit. |

Generally, if you quit your job you are not eligible for unemployment.
Unless you can prove violence (Are there police reports? Are there records in your HR dept of your complaints? Are there pictures of any bruises along with eye-witness statements that they saw this person attack you?) you are pretty much out of luck. |

Yes, they will deny you. You aren't allowed to tell them who to keep and who to fire, and you cannot get unemployment when you quit. |

Igf you apply, they will send a letter to your employer asking why you are no longer working there. If your employer responds to the letter saying you quit, then you are also disqualified from collecting unemployment. |

Oh My God! I worked in Such enviroment for almost 2 years while Pregnant inclusive I understand waht you mean very well ... I never quit though I defied her so badly she had walked out for a like 4 months and then returned and kissed as like crazy and they let me go
but before that They gave me enormous raises and great Recognition
