Hi I really need some advice. About a year ago I went to the police to give them a statement about my then boyfriend who abused me and beat me up loads of times. Stupidly I then felt sorry for him and withdrawn the statement. They let him go. On the day they let him go I went to see him, he told me he never wanted to see me and I slapped him. He called police and I admitted to slapping him and I received a caution. Now he is free to do the same to someone else. I need to know is there anything I can do to bring him to justice? I don't believe I deserved the caution for what he's put me through and I want him to be punished for what he's done but will police take me seriously? When I gave them the statement for the first time I had him on the phone while I was with a police officer and he admitted to hitting me on the phone. Can someone please advice me if there is anything I can do if it's been nearly a year? I can't stop thinking about it I know he deserves to be punished but it seems like English law is not good enough to punish the bad people. Please help!
