Has this happened? I think people know the difference between a stapler and a gun unless you conceal it in your jacket. Anyone who pretends a stapler is a gun deserves to be tasered. I don't think people die from tasers that often. |

Did they not understand the Federal law agent telling them to drop the stapler. This question does not make sense or not clear because for one, was the stapler a standard paper stapler or was it an air driven nail stapler. I know I would be afraid of someone shooting me with a nail stapler. Second, what kind of foreign language was spoken? In any case law enforcement officers should be obeyed when they are performing their duties. |

At any point a Federal Agent points a weapon at you and says something in a commanding tone, you should slowly and carefully drop whatever is in your hands to show compliance. Really, that's advisable when anyone's got the drop on you with a weapon, Federal Agent or not. You don't always have to speak the language to catch the drift.
And tasers are non-lethal. Why do people object to the rare instance of death by taser, when the alternative is a gun?
And yes, even a simple office stapler is heavy and blunt enough to be a lethal weapon in a pinch. |
