To be honest, I would be scared, because even without a weapon, he could hurt me, so I would probably feel great if I could just get by with giving him my money and not get hurt. I mean, its money, not worth your life.

It used to be that if you were safer by complying, however, nowadays you're likely to be killed even if you DO comply or attempt to---even if you're just walking away. Unfortunately, we live in a society where everyone should be skilled in self-defense (go figure? in overpopulated Hong-Kong, there's virtually NO crime, no one's afraid to go anywhere at anytime-day or night....) you need to prepare yourself to analyze the situation and either fight or flee....if it's just one person, chances are my adrenaline would kick in and I'd beat the living dingdang out of them no matter how big they were (I'm a middle-aged, average-sized woman, but I know precisely how to kill a person easily, and I also know how to street fight and have put men in the hospital, even when I was only a meager 120 pounds with braces in my teens, which they likely wouldn't remotely expect). Hopefully for them, I'd switch into "smart" mode and ask, "Why?" then slowly start a mental chess game (Dale Carnegie tips make it easy to psychoanalyze).....plus, being confident and calm might completely throw them off..they're expecting a scared, nervous victim, not a calm, collected person putting THEM on the spot....which, if they DON'T actually have a weapon, might give ME the opportunity to insinuate that I DO have a weapon and I'm *anxious* to use it. They don't know, but chances are THEY don't want to take a chance and will look for an easier target...........(p.s. I've also slept with a brick and a long stick with a bent dinner fork attached to the end, next to my bed since I was 18 in case anyone ever did break in, and I absolutely am not going to take any chances on someone suing MY butt because I disfigured them or created a disability because they tried to attack me......I'll smash their head in completely until they're DEAD without any remorse, and MORE girls need to be brought up that way...it might make creeps think twice......)
