The only problem you might have is that your address may be blacked for credit purposes ..
I would put as much detail as you know of the previous owner , date of move etc on the envelope and return it to sender .

Leave it in your mailbox for the postal carrier to pick-up with a note that Nobody By That Name Lives at the Address. The way bureaucracy is - and depending on the size of the city - it may not be worth calling the courts. |

how do you know it was a summons? Have you opened it - if so you could get into trouble as it is against the law to open someone elses mail. Return it to the sender with not known at this address on it. (if it is open blame it on the dog or young child!!!) |

Someone may happen by to make SURE that that's the case, but it's not your summons and beyond returning it, it's not your problem. |

Uh,... NOTHING, just mark it not at this address, and send it back. If it was hand delivered than it would have to be handed to the person it was intended for, directly. They can not just serve it to anybodyat the address. even if you know the person. |
