If drinking and driving is Illegal then why do Bars have Parking Lots?

Well cemeteries have parking lots to, you think everyone who parks in one, wants to be buried ???

Drinking and driving are not illegal. Having a blood alcohol level above a certain threshold while driving is illegal. So people can drive to the bar, have one drink, then drive home.

Also, people can have designated drivers.

Actually, depending on what state you are in, drinking and driving at all is illegal. It's called the "per se" law...you don't have to be at the legal limit. You just have to have alcohol in your system. And in NY that is the case. Also, parking lots...not just for drinking customers...could be employees, deliveries, and maybe the customers who just go there to meet with another person and have a soda.

Some people believe it or not will go into bars to have a cup of coffee in the morning, or eat a lunch or dinner special. Some bars have great food.

NOT EVERYBODY WHO GOES TO A BAR PLANS ON GETTING RIPPED OUT OF THEIR MIND ON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.......Employees need to park there too!!! DESIGNATED DRIVERS are the best! Maybe some Bars should also go into the taxi business and make even more money selling rides home to those who DO NOT KNOW WHEN TO STOP----

I've always wondered that myself! I guess some people are responsible and have only a drink or two within the legal limit but my guess is most who drive to bars are not, so I don't know what they're thinking!
