this happened five years ago he was 40 something and i was 17 and the result was i had a baby is this consider statutory rape some one please help me i have read so much stuff and everything i read says different things

It depends on your state and their laws. Each state has different laws with different age limits and different requirements which makes it almost impossible to answer without knowing the state. Furthermore if he was at the time a teacher, doctor, lawyer, therapist, or worked in a profession that was regulated by statute he could face other charges that could result in him not being able to continue in the profession. So it is not possible to definatively answer your question. |

Depends ENTIRELY on the laws of your unknown country and/or State.
Where I live, CA, it would have been illegal. In 'most' US States, though, it would have been legal as long as he wasn't one of your teachers, coaches, counselors or something similar.
