Got to the closet, get your suitcase, throw your clothes in it , pick it up, and walk out the door. You are 18, you don't need permission. |

You don't need their permission to move out if you are 18. Nobody should have to live in that sort of environment. You are free to go anywhere you want. Perhaps you can start out by temporarily staying with friends or family? Good luck & God Bless . |

You just leave. You are considered an adult, period. |

walk out the door and say gotta go |
|

FairyPrincess

You're legally an adult. You could pack up and leave any day now. They no longer have any legal say in your life. No matter what either one may tell you....you became responsible for yourself the minute you turned 18. If it's too much for you: go. |

so whats keeping you there... all you need is a job for rent and food get all your utiliies turn on or find a friend to move in with only thing stopping you is the door |

go ahead and leave. nothing restricts you legally from doing so. you are considered an adult at 18 if you live in the USA. but if i lived inside of your skin, i think i would leave a kind card behind for each one of my parents and wish them a swift, painless divorce and happiness for each one of them. |

You are legally within your rights and permitted to leave the house of your parents, but it will be nice if you can inform them before leaving.
Another alternative is to get a job away from your place. This way you can leave without offending them.

unless u live in alabama then leave your a legal adult but if u live in alabama u have to wait till your 19 |

Walk out the door. You are a legal adult and they CAN NOT stop you. Oh they might ask you to move out, but heck thats no big deal. If you are "under privileged" the government will pay for you to go to college.
Trust me, get out of the house. Even if you have to join the military. |

If you can make it on your own then go, if you want to leave on some what decent terms, talk to them and prove to them you can do it. Even if you are unsure, you're 18yrs old, you can still leave. |

At 18, you are free to go whenever you car to. |

18 equals emancipated. Move out. You no longer need their permission. |

I think at 18 you can move without their consent: however I don't think just disappearing would be a good idea because it might cause more problems than you already have. Do you have an older family member or friend who could help you out with this? You need money for food and a roof over your head. Do you have a job? Move and then let them know. I don't think they can force you to move back. Of course, you can't expect them to give you support of any kind once you've left home. I can see why you want to get out of there, but it will be difficult by the sound of things. |

Figure out how much it will cost for you to survive, and, presumably, to continue your education. Get a job that pays enough for your expenses, with enough margin to work only part time while in school. Rent an apartment.
Or go live with your father.
Or go talk to the homeless people in your area and get some pointers on how to live on the street.
Or don't be so sensitive. |

You're 18. You can leave at anytime. I say you call up the recruiting station and join the military. I'd recommend Air Force because I was a Marine and it's the worse. Air Force is the best and the treat their people the best. In the Corps you do funner stuff though.
Anyway the military is great, you get to be out on your own, meet great people, do fun things, you get a place to stay and food provided for you, the pay is okay, you will have a great time. |

You're 18. You don't need their permission. Save up your money, tell them your reasons why and ask the more financially responsible of them to cosign your lease. There you go. |

if you are 18 you do not have to have anyone's permission to go out on your own.
