If i dont want child support from my childs father, is there a way he could set up child support on his own?
Find answers to your legal question.

If i dont want child support from my childs father, is there a way he could set up child support on his own?

My sons father doesnt help me with pretty much anything, i was wondering if it was possible that he could set up payments on his own, without me having to go to the child support office. I dont want his money but if he ever did want to do it for his son, would this be possible? Thanx.

yeah yeah yeah
guys are dead beats if they dont pay child support, they dont get it that they shouldnt be dead beats, if i was you i would get the child support and if he was a bad parent then make sure he doesnt get visitation, my kids dad was a bad parent from day one, please get the child support because he needs to give money to your son your son deserves it trust me but if you dont want it then call child support up and tell them you dont want it and they will tell you what you can do or not do.

If you don't want his money, I recommend you call the child support office sometime this week and ask if the child support can be directly paid into a scholarship fund for your son to help with college prices. Good luck!

First off, the money isn't for you, it's for your son. Child support is money taken as the father's share of financial obligation as if he was still physically in the household. Having a court order on record is important because in case the father becomes unemployed, locked up, etc., and falls behind in child support payments, arrears accumulate and eventually goes to your son.

Stop being stubborn and ignorant at the same time and accept what is due to your son. You're not doing your son any justice in the long run by refusing to go to court for child support. Good Luck!

If you don't want to collect support from him, he can set up a trust fund for your child, or a savings account, or buy him savings bonds, or buy him stocks...

There are a lot of ways he could help out financially, if he wanted to.

He could go to the family court, or whatever they call it in your state. He can set it up through the court system if he really wants to. But he may also be entitled to visitation rights if he chooses to do so. You may want to think that through a little more. If you really don't want anything from him, then you should try to get his parental rights revoked. Otherwise, he has rights too.

It is possible, but why would you want to enable a DeadBeat Dad?!

In my opinion you should get the money anyway, for your child's sake. Then if you truly do not need it, open a savings account. Since he is the father its best if you can keep your harsh feelings for him to yourself and away from the child. Your feelings may be justified and I have been through similar. I am not judging you but I am speaking from experience. Unless this guy is a threat somehow, and even then if possible, do not let your son know how much you dislike his dad. It can make him question his own worth because he will always be this man's son. Money is one thing you can never have too much of so get a legal child support arrangement.

not a good idea on his own... better to just set it up. but if that's the way to do it, he can write you a check every month and make sure he puts in the memo for child support that way if you ever fight it he has proof. he would also need to keep copies of the checks he writes or uses duplicate (carbon copy) checks.

Yes he can, but you need to take him to court and get it started. He owes support, and needs to help support your child. Do it and you can thank me later.

Go to the child support office (I know you said you don't want to)...or just go to the courts. They'll make him pay. Rather you want his help or not, he made a kid, he needs to help.

Of course...the court doesn't care if he pays support unless you go to court and request it. If the two of you reach a financial agreement that you're both satisfied with and he's living up to it, that's fine. I don't understand why you don't want him to help you, though, court-ordered or not.

You asked so...

Oh boy, women who don't want child support really don't get it. Child support isn't for you, it's for the child. Even if he pays $5 a month, open a bank account and have the money deposited into the child's account. You may not need the money now but your probably will one day. Get a tighter grip of reality.
