well i got a knife thats about 6 inches (the blade is 6in and the handle is 5 in i think ) well anyways am i allowed to carry it around if im 15 ??? and its a survival knife thing with the hollow handle to put stuff in it like matches

i forgot to say : it dosent fold , its always straight , but i have a case for it that i can put on my belt ...? so is it illegal ?????

Carry it open on you belt. Do not let it disappear under your shirt or coat. I carried a folding knife for years, for various reasons. I would get one of those, since you can carry that type in your pocket. No switchblade, or gravity knife, but a thumb knife is fast and legal. |

Why you do want a knife anyway. Here in the UK it is illegal and despite your age you could get a prison sentence. If you live in the UK you can see how many young lives are lost with people carrying these weapons.
I suggest you get some common sense and get rid of it before you get into deep water with it. That would be the most sensible thing to do.
I wonder if your parents' know about you carrying this, if they do then they are very irresponsible, if they don't then think what an impact it would have on them if you were caught with it, used it, or someone somehow used it on you.
Get rid of it please.

It's really going to depend on states and local laws. On top of this, some places like airports, concert venues, schools, and many other institutions don't have to respect any right to carry a weapon. |
