Only if the injury was caused by a mechanical problem with the bike such as the brakes failing to work then you are liable. If the injury was an operator error such as their biking through a red light and getting hit by a car then you are not liable. Finally, if you told the person that the brakes don't work and they borrowed the bike anyway and were then injured due to brake failure, then you are not liable. |

Only if there is damage to the bike that you didn't tell them about that you knew could hurt them - ie brakes being broken. Otherwise no - they would be liable for the damage to the bike |

You are liable for injuries caused by your negligence. If you acted negligently in some way, and that negligence was the cause of the injury, then you can be liable. There are no special rules concerning loaning bicycles that make you liable or make you immune. |

Depends. If you kept the equipment in good condition before you let them use it, you are not liable as you performed due diligence and reasonable care in prevention of injury. If the bike is in poor working condition (brakes, tires, tight steering, etc.) then yes, you could be liable. |

No, it is called a frivolous lawsuit unless you know that something is broken in advance, in which case you are liable. In fact, the person who borrows it is responsible for replacing it if it is broken. |

no they should be liable the only thing i think they could do you for is they could have a go at neglegence but that would only be if the bike was about to fall apart and that fact was obvious. but if you told the, that it was a wreck before you gave it to them they cant do you for that either.
