In the UK? How old is your girlfriend. You need to think about this. It's an offence to 'sleep' with a minor (which is what you are at the moment). What are you going to live on? Who's going to pay the bills? And don't say 'My girlfriend', because no girlfriend is going to put up with a lazy good for nothing bumming off her for the rest of her natural life!!!! You may be in love now, but look ahead a couple of years.
The other people to think of are your collective parents. Are they so dead set against you getting together? Is the girlfriend older, and if so by how much. If it's a huge amount older, you must understand their pain and worry over your choice. They'll be thinking of you and your future (they may even use the phrase 'throwing your life away', and as far as a career goes, they may have a point. 16 is VERY young to start a relationship with nothing to support you (monetary or family).
Think carefully, very carefully before you make any decision.
I wish you luck and happiness. |

as long as you are in the UK, then yes you can. BUT if your parents want to contest it, they can go to the police and place an appeal for you to be made to return, right up until you are 16.
If you do not seem in any danger though, and as long as your living standards are good, the police wouldn't necessarily come down on their side. |

rIn theory you could but your parents could put quite a few barriers in your way if they could prove that you were putting yourself at risk o were in some way vulnerable, they could enforce your return or worse the authority may put you in care. If you leave home you will not receive benefits until you are 18 unless you can prove there are overwhelming reasons for you to do so. Finally, leaving home is a serious thing, not to be done on a whim are you sure that your relationship with your girl is secure to put up with the strains and stresses of life with little money? Is your relationship with your parents poor.if it is , is there some third party that could help you resolve things (an aunt or adult friend for example) Don't forget your education, and ember even if you are allowed to leave home the state won't let you leave school till the designated day. |

Yes you can. But think carefully about it beforehand. What would you do if you and your girlfriend split up? |

Yes, but have a good long think about it first. Dont be burdening yourselves with all of the pressure. Both of you go out and enjoy your youth.Get jobs go on holidays and out with friends. You dont need the hassle of debt and responsibility at such a young age.You have got plenty of time to do all of that stuff when you're older. Then if you are still together in your twenties, then move in together. But for now live life to the full and enjoy.Youth does'nt last that long you know. |

i think at 16 your parents could force you home, but by 17 you could be ok, my friend wanted to leave home at 17 and was told by CAB that 17 is the "grey" area, where parents could go to court if they really wanted you home but by the time it went to court you proberly would be 18 anyway!! |
