If my boy friend is on probation and is 18 dating myself who is 16 turning 17 aug 1st. is it illegal?

my boy friend is on probation and his parents as well as mine are totally cool with our relationship. But we are worried that if i am 16 and he is 18 that it would be illegal and may cause trouble with his probation.
Is it ok for us to be together?

In regards to your boyfriend. Don't you think him being on probation is enough to make you question on wether or not this relationship should continue? He's 18 on probation already. Who is to say his troubles won't escalate later on in life?

The age of consent varies with each state, you need to identify where you are from.

The law does not recognize "turning 17". You are still 16 legally.
