If some sues for malpractice?

if someone sues for malpractice claiming they didnt know the negative consequences but signed a informed consent form what are the affects in this case?

They've got an uphill battle. The lawyer is going to say "I explained it all to him." For evidence, he's going to point to that signed informed consent document.

The person suing is going to have to prove that he wasn't fully informed and that his signature on the document was the result of fraud or a mistake. Not an easy burden. The law presumes that you don't sign things without knowing what they are.
