The law says it's against a persons human rights not to grant them bail, even though they have committed Murder. (absolutely wrong in my eyes).
I would assume the bail money for this type of crime would be quite substantial. More than £50,000. As the murderer could go down for life; the person posting bail should think long and hard before signing any papers - if the person being bailed does a runner, the bailer WILL have to pay up. |

I don't believe the UK judicial system had a bail amount fee...
If your charged, you are either freed to attend at a later date or you are held in custody to await your trial date.
If your freed awaiting a date then you may have to register at a police station and attend regularly..
It normally depends on the crime you've been charged with.
Murder is pretty serious and therefore, I believe your usually held in custody till the trial. |

Terms of bail in uk are not based on monetary conditions but behavioural ones.

I can assure you that it is perfectly normal for a person on a murder charge to be given bail ( no money involved in England ). Having worked in Crown Courts for over 20 years I have known numerous cases of people on murder charges being given bail.
I once had a list of four cases one day of which three were on charges of murder, who were on bail, and one of attempted murder, who was in custody. |

It is perfectly possible to get bail on a murder charge.
Unlike the US, there is not generally bail surety in the UK. It is very rare for any kind of financial bond to be made. |
