When the Supreme Court made a wrong turn with Dred Scott -- defining ANY Black to be a subhuman, not just those who ere slaves -- it took the bloodiest of civil wars to undo it. Those Supreme Courts who with malice towards G-d and Our History redefine marriage as anything else then between a man and a woman also risk civil bloodshed.

Chief Justice Taney in Dred Scott: "[blacks of African descent are] beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations, and so far inferior that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect."

Because the same God that saw to it that American Blacks were freed and now have their rights gauranteed by the government also defined marriage as being between a man and a woman.

You've been sadly misinformed.

The Supreme Court decision you are attempting to write about counted slaves as 3/5 of a person when counted by the United States Census for the purpose of setting legislative districts and Congressional apportionment.

The Northern (anti-slavery states) did not want slaves to be counted as a full person because it diluted their power in Congress by giving the Southern States additional seats.

Marriage is a religious matter. The state and federal government should have absolutely no say in the matter and that includes licenses. (Licenses were originated as a way to stop interracial marriages.) The courts cannot define religious matters.
