You cannot Be charged with possession but can be charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance. One being pulled over, must Be VERY careful that the police not PLANT controlled substance in your car so they can charges you with more things which they like to do.

Depends on your state. In Indiana, they could arrest you for the suspicion of driving under the influence and give you a blood test . You can be convicted of driving under the influence. In Indiana, you can only be arrested for the possession of marijuana. There are not any laws for the consumption of marijuana.

Only if they are convinced you are under the influence of something and send you to the hospital for blood/urine tests.

You can be charged with other things if they dont want to bother sending you to the hospital, like reckless driving.

It depends. It gives them probable cause to search to see if any is in the vehicle. Is anyone else in the vehicle? Do you have it in the vehicle in a locked compartment--like the glove? If someone else is in the vehicle--and they have both people will be charged. If it is in the locked glove compartment and they open it you have precedent to follow if you live in New York.Charges are drug possession.

In Calfornia anywhere were pot is rampant there is no way for testing to determine if someone is high from weed....they are now trying to come up with a test like they have for alcohol to test drivers but its still a couple of years out...i think it must be the same for every state................
