The general answer given by most company websites is as follows:
" (insert company name) is committed to acting responsibly in marketing tobacco products. We communicate offers and opportunities provided by our cigarette brands only to smokers 21 years of age or older. Though it might be frustrating to be able to legally purchase cigarettes but not participate in some of our promotions, we are committed to doing our part to help prevent youth smoking."
