There is no getting away with any wrongdoing. You will pay for it whether it is today here on earth, or another day in heaven or another life or your resurrected life or whatever form of forever you believe in. And even if you don't believe in a hereafter forever, even while here on earth, just because you don't get "thrown in prison" you will pay for it. Karma, What-Goes-Around-Comes-Around, whatever you choose to call it, you will pay for it by having terrible bad things happen to you for the rest of your life. You will pay for it one way or another. Even if I had the cold disregard necessary to take another life, which I don't, I couldn't do such a thing for fear of the lifelong, eternal retribution I would have to face which would make prison seem like a walk in the park. |
