It is dangerous when insurance companies determine what laws are needed. Not to mention, it is my choice. |

the "no child left behind act"; this was meant to be a good thing, but has been nothing short of a disaster for public schools |

As a retired person, it would be paying income tax on Social Security and also the 7.5% of gross income before you can deduct medical bills on your income tax return. |

The rule in TRICARE which cut my wife off of Medical coverage for 6 months because she is older than I am and was a house wife instead of working. I have been trying to get Congressman Ryan (D OH) to work on fixing this hole for military retirees for almost 2 years. One of his staff actually told me to expect to loose. |

A change to drink driving law - ZERO alcohol if you intend to drive! - get caught with ANY alcohol on your breath or in your blood, and you're in big trouble - period!
Three strikes, and you're 'out' - a permanent 'life-time' ban. |

I wouldnt change laws as such, except possibly those that allow rich people to get richer at the expense of the poor.
I would however change how laws are applied, get back to the spirit that laws were created in and not following letter for letter. |

The law I would get rid of is smoking in public. You are out in the fresh air so it is not affecting other people. It's different in pubs and clubs because people have to breath in second hand smoke. |

Oh, there are so many.
No Child Left Behind is up on the list of thing I'd get rid of, as well as the Patriot Act.
Oh, and I'd decriminalize marijuana. Like our prisons aren't full enough that we need all our college kids in them. |
