I voted for Obama and Biden!

That is a scary idea for so many reasons! I don't think a perfect technology exists, what happens when this "cutting edge" technology starts cutting out!
I'm probably just being silly, people used to be apprehensive about the internet and the fact that big brother could keep an eye on us. Who knows what people will accept or not, as for me I hope I can resist! |

There goes any privacy you thought you had.

no..its not healthy to implant anything unnatural in your body |

no coz you never know someone could be tracking you with that chip |

NEVER trust anyone offering to do this! It's an invasion of privacy! THIS is why we have a fourth amendment! |

No, because of government |

Hell no!
Think about the insane megalomaniac we have for president right now. What if he chipped the people who didn't support him? Who do you think would be on the front lines right now?! |

Big Brother LOVES you! Are they paying you to promote such garbage, or are you a happy volunteer? If you can't think of one drawback to microchip implantation, then you need to sit down and think REAL hard.... |

I never had a choice. After they beamed me into the mothership it was one of the first things they did. Hurt a lot less than where they put the other probe, I can tell you!

no because I don't want to feel like people I don't know and don't trust can control me
and I believe in privacy. Something like microchips, though they sounds beneficial in theory, will only lead to trouble (especially if the government gets involved) |

Not no but HELL NO!! The government doesn't need a way to track everyone and where they go and know where we are at all times!!! I intend to remain as free as I can and keep my family as free as I can! This is just BIG BROTHER scaring people into thier big game plans and I for one will not participate!!! Don't be a fool!! |

How would inserting a microchip stop someone from stealing your identity? It's not the person who is stolen, it's the paperwork or the cards, and that won't be stopped by any chip.
Now if it is somehow to be used to prove that 'this person is quizzard123', and thus stop someone from using my credit card, it might have a use, but otherwise.....not so much. |

I don't know why you would need one. Just stick to cash/debit/credit, it's probably less painful. Now if they made biological hard drives that made you remember things more and better then I'd buy one in a heartbeat!!!!!!! |

hell naw.
the people culd do anything to u.
SCARY MUCH?! |

One thing I have been reading about is keeping medical records stored in a chip on your body. That way, if you are on vacation and need emergency medical treatment then the doctors would be able to access your data right away.
However, it would not be impossible for someone to steal your identity or credit cards. All would be needed is to get a scan of your chip and create a chip with the same data on it and insert it. It would make stealing an identity harder but not impossible. |

No identity theft would be good.
But it would definately depend on how much it hurt, I'm a wuss.
If it was given at birth or something, maybe.
But if one day, they introduced it, and it was necessary, i wouldn't do it.
Who wants to steal my identity anyways? |

no |

Yes and No! Yes, because if you get kidnapped or if your lost you can be easily found. People wouldnt get away with murder because the chip would know where they were. No,because then it can be like big brother watching you. So there are the pro's and the con's. |

I am tracked enough in life, from my purchases to the drugs I take!
The last thing we all need it to be tracked like EZPass!
No Thanks
The only applications I could POSSIBLY see being allowed are
Elderly
Children (to what age, not sure)
Pets
Livestock
Did you know that most merchandise is RFID'd and is supposed to be deactivated at the register. Unfortunately, almost all items purchased have life RFID in them which are discreet and about the size of a grain of rice..........Finding them is next to impossible. EVERY RFID is unique and hence your purchase can be cross referenced to the RFID and that RFID can be used in public to track you.......(Big brother theory) |

If I could use it to record my dreams and play them back when I am awake, yes. |

why couldn't they still steal your identity ? fake chip(s) ?
and if they could do that - then you would really be screwed, would you not ?
If I had to go to a dangerous foreign country then - maybe yes.
but just for the trip - I would cut it out when I got back. |

for the sake of argument you are right-what happens when your chip goes bad.....with modern technology the way it is big brother can find you already-no need for a microchip-than they can find you at anytime.. |
|

Every new technology is eventually hacked. Still I would do it just because it will be the norm some day. |

at my age I have health issues. if a chip monitored my vital signs sure why not, they could call for help if I stopped wiggling or something like that |
