I'd like to see telemarketing, and over-the-phone pro-active selling and marketing, outlawed. There should be stiff fines and the possibility of a jail term for businesses who like to ring people out of the blue and try to sell stuff, or conduct "surveys" in the hope of selling stuff, or estate agents trying to "encourage" people to sell their homes.
We get enough advertising in our lives already without it jumping into our personal time at home. It detracts from the quality of people's lives, and constitutes a form of harassment in my opinion, especially when it happens outside of business hours.
I realise that phone marketing is the only livelihood some people have, and I don't blame them for trying to make a buck, but I think it is an awful business practice, and the managers should be held responsible. |

new law: anyone falsely accusing someone else of a crime should automatically go to jail for the MAXIMUM term allowed for the offence which they are trying to put on someone else, that would stop alot of false accusations and innocent people from being maliciously targeted - which we all know that goes on. especially rape/paedophillia/murder etc |

Definately a law requiring those on welfare to meet one of three criteria: be disabled (doctor's letter, reviewed annually); be working for local govt at least 20 hours per week (this can include attendance at a job search club); or be enrolled in a training course (can include rehab, with a doctor's letter, reviewed once the program finishes).
Also, all claimants need to take a class in basic home skills, namely how to create a budget; how to cook some basic meals; and effective parenting techniques.
The onus needs to be on the claimant to provide evidence, or no payments, but with appropriate grace periods before money is cutoff |

Law ? why stop at one law ?
Zero tolerance on drink driving.
minimum 10 yrs for carrying a weapon.
Granny bashers same.
NHS,being accountable for patients
catching deceases whilst in hospital
plus proper care.
All drivers who pass there driving test
to display a green P sticker on car for
a year and not use motorways for one
year.
Limit of twenty one to purchase alcohol.
or drink it.
All public road & rail transport systems
to be taken back into public owner ship.
Same with gas,electricity and water plus
a windfall tax to be levied on utility company's
now.
Stamp duty on buying homes to be abolished.
Index linked rises for pensioners.
Duty on petrol and diesel lowered.
VAT lowered.

I'm for bringing back the "No Spitting on the Sidewalk" laws! That's NASTY, dude, and completely unnecessary! In all my years alive, I've NOT ONCE ever had to spit on the sidewalk!!! If I can avoid it, so can everybody else! |

I would make it obligatory that parents kept all children from the age of 6 to 16 indoors from the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 22.00 p.m. with a couple of 5 minute breaks to let them get some fresh air.
P.S. I love children but I couldn't eat a whole one! |

I think we should look at repealing a few, not making more. If forced id have to say a tougher immigration policy, one that does not allow illegals drivers license or makes it harder to work without the proper visas and what not. I'm in atlanta and it seems there are more mexicans without papers and insurance, than there are with. Possibly a law that requires people who use the health care system without paying taxes should be iimmediately deported, after they are treated. |

Then I would introduce a new law that says!Any Scottish people drawing benefits in England and Wales would be repatriated back to Scotland! |

The amount of a traffic fine(speeding tickets)should be determined by how much you make.If a person is making minimum wage $90 hurts but if your making $40,000 a year or more it doesn't hurt as much....(fair?) |

While walking in the malls, casinos on bike paths and other public places you should always "Keep to the Right". I was going thru a 2 way swinging door in a casino and another person was walking really fast through the door on his left as I was going through the same door from my right and I got the door smashed in my face! If everyone kept to the right, like when you are driving, there would be less people accidents. Also, it should be illegal for parents to keep their children out all hours of the night in casinos while they are gambling. I've seen small children in shorts and sleevless shirts sitting on benches at all hours of the early morning (like 3 AM) in the concourse of a casino freezing with the AC on and wanting to sleep, but they had no choice but to wait for their parents while they were gambling in a casino. Children should be home in their beds by at least 11 PM!!! It is cruel to make your children stay up that long with no blankets or pillows and no adult supervision. |
