I would say she's just lucky. Indecent exposure means being in view of the general public, regardless of whether you are on your own property or not.
05/17/2007 I just found out today either Connecticut or Vermont (I don't remember which) has no law on indecent exposure. So if you live there, I guess your safe. |

Yes.
Even though a person is in their own yard, they could be in trouble for public exposure.
She was lucky nobody complained. |

Yes you could get arrested. The charge is called "indecent exposure", darn shame about that arrest. Mom should have known better. |

In some places, such behavior can get you locked up for psychological evaluation.
Being arrested seems better. |

If you can be seen by the public, it is illegal and you can be arrested. |

She is wrong. It's called indecient exposure. People might have thought she was off of her medication. |

It's just that nobody saw, or complained. depending on what she looked like, I WOULD'NT complain either!
Ya can go nekked wherever you want on your own property, so long's it's not visible from a public, or neighboring area. High fences, or trees that obscure, etc. are O.K. So long's it's private and hidden from public view. |

It is considered to be public indecency, and is illegal. She is probably lucky that no one reported her, she could have been arrested if she had been seen by a child.
Goodness, I hope I don't ever see any of my neighbors walking to their mailbox in the nude. That would not be good. |

She is checking to see if you're dumb enough to do it yourself.
Of course its illegal.
Unless of course her name is Heidi Klumm. That is perfectly legal. |

Nobody complained.
There was a case I saw reported on some news magazine show:
The neighbors were at home, shades closed except for a small sliver of a view, and they were engaging in marital "relations."
A man across the street used a zoom function video camera focused on the sliver of view and filmed them as reflected in their vanity mirror.
THEN he called the cops, turned over the film, filed a complaint of indecency saying that his kids might have seen it - and the couple was arrested and they LOST THE CASE!
Just goes to show you - not all justice is just.
If she does it again - and you don't want kids seeing her - test her theory.
Peace. |
