For me, it still comes down to personal rights
It is the religious angle that says abortion should be disallowed.....but why do religious people feel the need to impress their veiws on everybody with laws....
True religious people cast no stones, and will let God judge them, not opinion or laws |

I would not change my view at all. Every woman has the choice. That's how it is and how it should be!! |

I think it is foolish for anyone to think that they know enough about every possible situation to just make up a blanket yes/no answer.
Each and every abortion is a life/death decision and it needs to be made by the people involved in that situation - not some old man half way around the world, not some politician, and certainly not some self-righteous poster on YA.
There are times, such as ectopic pregnancies, etc, where your choice is terminate or lose the mother AND have no chance whatsoever for the child to survive.
Choosing not to terminate in those cases is tantamount to suicide AND homicide.
If you're *really* pro-life then you have to consider the situation and the value of the mother's life as well as the child, weigh the risks, and do what maximizes the overall chances of survival.
Only someone familiar with the intimate details of such a situation could possibly make an intelligent decision. Attempting to create a blanket decision in the absence of those details is sheer hubris. |

I'm totally pro-choice 100%. My opinion is that it should be a legal, safe option for any woman. Who is the government to say what they can and can't do with their bodies? |

go away..
what your asking is inhuman..
i know people whom have had abortions for one reason or another, it was an horrific choice for them. i would never choose abortion but i will not make the decision for someone else..
so i am pro choice and a Christian, thats a tough place for me
its a freedom to choose. no one should be forced to suffer some one else's choice's or ideas. no matter the suject |

Well, it would have to be proved to me.
And it depends on the extent of the thinking and feeling.
But overall,
I still think that a bunch of old men have no right to decide what women do when they get pregnant. |

This was flouted as propaganda by the anti choice brigade a couple of months ago to try and reduce the termination limits in this country.
They also post images of foetuses that are larger than the expected gestation dates.
Some of them also show images of terminated foetuses to pregnant women considering termination. If they go ahead with the procedure some harass them on the phone for weeks afterwards or visit them.
Do YOU think that's justified?
My opinion hasn't changed on abortion - I am still pro choice. |

Do you remember what you were thinking and feeling when you were a fetus? Who are the researchers who can prove this?
Doesn't change my opinion. And I never said what that opinion is, so don't speculate. |

My view of it would still be that abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. |

The same it is now,i don't believe in abortion unless its for the good of the baby. If it has a massive deformity or if it wont have a quality of life. I know people who use abortion as contraception and its disgusting and i also know friends who are desperate for a baby. What a world we live in.
Oh and BTW David T,Foetus is the right spelling you doughnut. |

I still think if the baby is from incest, child rape, it should be ok... other than that, children should not be able to walk up to an abortion clinic and get one without thier parents knowledge. They are not going to abolish abortion, but they should fix the laws |

the same it is now i believe it is wrong especially when people use it simply because its inconvinient for them to take care of the child. |

i'm not for it now but if it was lk that then i definatly would be 100% against it. i think if you are responsible enough to sleep with someone then u should take responsibility for your actions and have the kid. dont' abort it to make ur life better. its wrong. |

You see your choice of the term foetus rather than baby is all part of the betrayal of motherhood that abortion is.
Why should the survival of a baby depend on its ability to think or feel [it can in fact do both]? Life is entrusted to the mother, the father is the 'provider' by nature - If a newly conceived baby can not trust its own mother to do all she can to protect it - what hope is there for humanity?
All this bull about a woman's choice to do what she wants with her body is a smoke screen; what about the rights of the unborn child, the most vulnerable little bundle of humanity in the universe and we allow its murder because of convenience? Wake up people.
By the way I have spent hours counselling girls post-abortion this is not any sort of judgement on my part just a plea for little lives that cannot protect themselves. |

if it could feel and think im a 100% against it |

Why put it in the "If" form? Toddler to pre-school. Pre-Teen to Teen, Teen to Adult, all phases of the growth of a child, as is pre-born to born.
Unfortunately, the laws of protection in the United States only apply to citizens, which is someone born in, or naturalized into the country.
The unborn, not being citizens, have no rights. Sad, isn't it?
Even if they proved at a particular stage the baby didn't feel, I would still be against abortion. |

Oh my God.. Never do a Fricken abortion. Thats so mean. don't you want to bring life into this world?? they can feel and touch everything so if you do that it's like a newborn baby dieing inside of you.. HOw do you really think it would feel for you----

Oh, they can, at a certain point. People are corrupt. You are killing a baby, regardless of if someone gives you the okay. 'Cuz I could break into a house. I course. It's a choice. But it's also wrong.
Someone who was meant to grow, think, learn, and love upon the earth...do the ones who do it consider the very fact that their mother could've done that very thing to them... very much could've.
It's quite selfish. |

Please Dont Get Me Started!
If your stupid enough to get pregnant when you really shouldnt have then tough luck! Face up to it and deal with it!
Its a like it CAN think and feel from at LEAST 9 weeks!!! So why the 24 week law? |

It's one of the worst things.. I'mm pro-life not pro-choice..Like you're not giving this tiny human-to-be a chance.. when you have a life and you're not giving a little soul a chance to expierence life and it sbeauty.. |

My first opinion would be you need to learn how to spell. It's featus. And yes they can feel and my abortion stance is, was, and will always be, it is the worst type of child abuse. |
