Death....No second chances... I would do the same for a rapist..and a murderer. I bet you there would be a whole lot less crimes being committed if that was the penalty..And I mean a speedy trial and then that's it... And I would let the family of the victims choose the way they get to die... And or have the choice to kill them...

death.to put someone in jail that totally disregards a child.isnt going to work they will do it again and in many cases even murder the victim (as that case in fla.where that man on parole killed and burried a little girl ,they say she was still alive when first burried.to keep them jailed forever is too expensive.throw them in the fish food machine and be done with it !!!!!

castration. I know, but I am a victim of one, and that is what I wished on that man until yesterday...

but the thing is that that would make one worse, because he can't climax he has to find another release, and most times the castrated ones become serial killers. So in my opinion they need jail time for the rest of their life, and treatment. They can not look at children or be near any children.

I would say depending on the nature of the crime, long/life imprisonment, castration, or death would be appropriate.

Jail, jail for the term of their natural life. In Australia we are finally breaching this huge issue and the Gov here will have to place known and free paedophiles under constant surveillance, or the likelihhod of litigation for Failure in Duty of Care is massive. This inhumane behaviour has been treated like an indoor sport until the last five years. I have lobbied Gov and any and all bosses of police and investigative teams here for eleven years and at times I thought my heart would break.

Paedophiles premeditate, they isolate the targeted child from all supports, and will go to any lengths to protect their secret activities. Not just because of punishment, one of the big thrills is the control payoff they get by making sure everyone concerned is organised to suit them and their sick needs. In time we may understand this more but frankly most of us aren't paedophiles, so we as a society are more vulnerable because of that. Its a form of psycopathic behaviour that will never be accepted in any decent society.

I hope the new Rudd gov here in Australia really make a huge effort to actually create legislations that finally protect our kids and their families.

I say put them in the "bin" (aussie term for jail) and throw away the key. If they have TV and caviar for breakfast I don't care as long as they can't get to any little children.
